Exciting news for Anthony Callea fans this week with a brand new album appearing on Universal Music’s release schedule.
Though we broke news of the LP on Tuesday (and were subsequently asked to take it down), Fairfax Media has today angered the star by publishing a story that focuses more on his sexuality than on the actual release, Anthony saying this afternoon, “What I thought was a great 20min interview today, has now turned into an amateur gossip piece. For a very short amount of time she brought up the topic of “gay issues”, which I was reluctant to speak about, and now my hesitation has been substantiated.”
According to his BIO with IMG management, the new release, entitled ‘Thirty’ will be the first of two albums he’s planning to release this year through ABC Music.
The release is reported to be a collection of tracks that have inspired Anthony’s career over the past 30 years (the singer turned 30 in December), but is expected to also contain new original material.
Though no further information has been made available at this stage, ‘Thirty’ is on the release schedule for a Friday April 26 in-store date.

Hey Anonymous #2,
Anthony doesn’t have a problem being gay. He has a problem (as do we) when an interview that’s supposed to break news of his new album focuses virtually solely on his private life which is none of his business except his own!
And especially from a Fairfax newspaper.

On a vain note, I cannot believe he’s 30. Nothing wrong with being 30 at all, he just looks much younger. But excited to hear new music from him, even if it seems like the first album of the two at least will be covers.

Thank you for reporting about Anthony’s music rather than rabble rousing over old gay issues. Am very excited about this new release. Brilliant.

I don’t know why he has a problem with being gay
