Since placing third in the inaugural season of ‘The Voice’, she’s released her debut album ‘Shooting Star’, enjoyed top five success with it, toured with her muse Delta Goodrem and performed on the annual Carols By Candlelight concert (she was also an ambassador for the event).
In amongst all that, she’s also found time to perform in Italy and spend time in the studio recording her second album ‘Romantique’.
Eagle-eyed readers will have seen Rachael’s LP on the new release schedule for the past month or so.
Produced by Byron Jones, the album is a collection of both original songs and contemporary covers, with the songstress taking on Gotye’s ‘Hearts A Mess’, Adele’s ‘Chasing Pavements’, Louis Armstrong’s ‘What A Wonderful World’ and Sarah McLachlan’s ‘Angel’.
“What is most exciting about this album for me is the chance to show the diversity in my musical tastes,” Rachael said in a statement announcing the album’s release.
The songstress will also hit the road for a series of instore appearances throughout April and May, along with special album launch shows throughout May.
‘Romantique’ hits retail on Friday April 26.
