Apart from the girls last single – the ill-advised cover version of TLC’s classic ‘Waterfalls’ – we’ve rather liked what UK three piece Stooshe has brought to the pop table, especially their breakthrough track ‘Love Me’.
With their three previous singles, they’ve hit the UK top five twice (‘Waterfalls’ missed the top 20) and they’ll no doubt be hoping that third time’s a charm with their new single ‘Slip’, the video for which premiered overnight.
They’re headed down to the local alley in the hope of bowling you over with their new tune (pun intended), as they each take their assigned lane for a bit of ’60s infused doo-wop pop frivolity. There’s plenty to like here – that trademark Stooshe sass is still on show, albeit in pared back form, as the girls sing about their gent’s perceived loss of interest in them.
