Yes, if you’ve swung by the pages of auspOp over the last few days, you’ll be more than aware that it’s Eurovision season again!
Yes, in just over five weeks time time, the pop-loving eyes of Europe will be firmly fixed on the Swedish city of Malmö, as 39 countries from across the region compete for the most coveted prize in music – the Eurovision Song Contest winner’s trophy.
As always, the competition is split into three finals; the two semi finals (to be held on May 14 and 16) and the grand final (on May 18), in which the victorious countries from the two semi-finals will line up alongside the host nation Sweden and the “big five” of the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Here we take our fourth our look at the entrants for this year’s competition by glancing at the Norwegian entry.
MARGARET BERGER : I Feed You My Love
Songstress Margaret Berger is no stranger to national audiences in Norway, having placed second in that country’s ‘Idol’ competition back in 2004. And she’s done okay for herself since, releasing two top ten albums and some chart hits to boot. The latest, ‘I Feed You My Love’, serves as both the lead single from her forthcoming album ‘Chastisement’ and her country’s Eurovision entry, after she won through at the Norwegian national final back in February. Margaret will compete in the second of the semi finals, to be held on Thursday May 16.
Part pop, part rock, completely epic production and that gorgeously addictive Scandinavian accent help to make this one of the favourites to take out the competition. One listen and it’s not hard to hear why.

This is the one to watch this year I think ;)
