It’s like we had a crystal ball when we published our first story on the Movement Festival under the headline “Movement On The Move”…
Because the forthcoming Movement Festival, due to take place later this month, IS on the move, with organisers this afternoon confirming that the festival dates in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth will all shift venues.
Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl gig on April 27 will now move to Festival Hall. Brisbane’s Riverstage show on April 28 has now relocated to Eatons Hill Hotel. And the Perth show, set down for the Red Hill Auditorium on April 30 is now to be held at Metro City.
It’s also been revealed that Def Jam artist 2 Chainz will no longer appear due to “a pending court case and Australia and New Zealand Visa eligibility requirements and processing timelines” and neither will Angel Haze, who’s been forced to pull out due to recording commitments.
But organisers have managed to secure the services of up and coming Aussie MC Iggy Azalea, who’ll join the likes of Bliss N Eso, Chiddy Bang and Joey Bada$$ on the tour. Diafrix has also been added to the line-up for the performances along the East Coast.
