The Eurovision Song Contest is almost upon us yet again, with just over six weeks before this year’s competition kicks off in Sweden.
Competitors from 39 European countries will descend on the host city Malmö on Tuesday May 14 for the first of two semi finals.
The first features the likes of Denmark, Russia, Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium and Serbia.
The second semi final, to be held on Thursday May 16, will feature entries from Macedonia, Finland, Greece, Norway and Hungary among others, before the grand final on Saturday May 18 brings together the ‘big five’ of Germany, France, Spain, the UK and Italy, along with the host nation Sweden.
Once again, SBS looks set to broadcast each of the finals – on Friday May 17, Saturday May 18 and Sunday May 19 respectively.
We’ll kick off our yearly look at each of the Eurovision entries later this week.
