British singer Olly Murs has done alright for himself in Australia over the past couple of years. A couple of promotional visits, a dedicated local Murs Army and decent support by his local label Sony have seen his stocks rising, especially since the release of his top five smash ‘Troublemaker’.
Olly’s latest single ‘Army Of Two’ sits just two places shy of its peak of No.34 on this week’s ARIA singles chart, but expect the track to rise in the weeks ahead with a performance on tonight’s ‘Logie Awards’ and the announcement today of a national tour.
Olly will bring his full live band to Australia in November this year for four dates across the East Coast, touching down in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Newcastle.
Naturally, the affable star is excited about what’s to come.
“I absolutely love Australia and have always wanted to tour ‘down under’,” he said in a statement. “The support that the Aussie fans have shown me so far has been incredible and I can’t wait to return later this year and show them how much I appreciate it.”
Tickets are due to go on sale from Monday April 15.
