Looks like there’s some demand out there for tickets to the recently announced tour for ’80s icons Kim Wilde and Nik Kershaw, with the duo’s October Melbourne show being shifted to a larger venue.
Originally due to hit the city’s Palace Theatre, the Melbourne show will now shift to the Palais Theatre, where extra capacity awaits.
Kim will be playing a hit-laden set for her Aussie fans in what’s her first headline Aussie tour in almost two decades. Tracks from Kim’s back catalogue like ‘You Keep Me Hanging On’, ‘If I Can’t Have You’, ‘Kids In America’ and ‘Cambodia’ are pop classics.
Nik, meanwhile, will visit Australia for the first time in almost 30 years, playing the hits that made him famous including ‘The Riddle’, ‘Wide Boy’ and the inimitable ‘Wouldn’t It Be Good’.
In a world first, Nik is set to play as part of Kim’s backing band, alongside Kim’s brother Ricky Wilde and his daughter Scarlett.
