The BIGSOUND festival will return to Brisbane in September.
And organisers are understandably bubbling with excitement at the reveal of their first line-up tonight.
In what’s the event’s 12th year, performers already locked away to appear include Megan Washington, Xavier Rudd, Bleeding Knees Club, Stonefield, Clubfeet and many more.
The roll call of guest speakers is no less impressive, with British star Billy Bragg headlining the list that also includes Amanda Palmer, Kasey Chambers, Regurgitator and others.
Event programmer Graham Ashton is understandably excited by the line-up revealed thus far in the lead up to this year’s event.
“BIGSOUND 2013 is already the biggest we’ve ever hosted and it’s only the first announcement,” he said in a statement. “The tribe is growing from all corners of the world as BIGSOUND quickly becomes the Southern Hemisphere’s gathering for music-lovers and industry wanting the experience of seeing tomorrow’s big artists before they break.”
BIGSOUND 2013 will hit the Queensland capital for three big days from September 11 to 13.
