• Universal Music has announced the forthcoming release of a new Triple J compilation that aims to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their yearly ‘Hottest 100′ countdown. Unsurprisingly called ’20 Years Of Hottest 100’, the new compile is slated for release on Friday July 19.
• To celebrate the release of their new single ‘To Send Our Love’, Melbourne outfit World’s End Press have announced a series of headline shows from late July, which will include a residency at Sydney’s Brighton Up Bar. They kick things off at Brisbane’s Alhambra Lounge on July 20, visit Ding Dong Lounge in their hometown on July 26 and Adelaide’s Edinburgh Castle on July 27 before a trio of Sydney dates – on August 02, 09 and 15. Tickets are on sale now.
• Plenty of new music doing the rounds at local media this week, including the new single from superstar French DJ Martin Solveig entitled ‘Hey Now’. The single was released to digital retail on Monday via Onelove and they tell us a remix package is set to follow in the weeks ahead.
• Also making waves this week are the new Jessie J single ‘Wild’, remixes of the Empire Of The Sun single ‘Alive’, Naughty Boy’s altogether brilliant ‘La La La’ and Silver Sneakerz’ ‘Night And Day’. We’ll bring you a more comprehensive list of all the tunes doing the media rounds this week over on our FACEBOOK page tomorrow! Why not pop over and give us a ‘Like’!?
• As suspected, the British singles chart this week belongs to Naughty Boy and his altogether brilliant new single ‘La La La’ featuring the vocals of Sam Smith. It debuts in the No.1 spot, displacing Daft Punk’s super-catchy ‘Get Lucky’. 2 Chainz’ new single ‘We Own It (Fast And Furious)’ (which also hit media here this week) bullets into the No.6 spot and the new Olly Murs single ‘Dear Darlin’ also makes it into the top ten. Emmelie De Forest’s Eurovision-winning song ‘Only Teardrops’ makes it as high as No.15. Stooshe’s ‘Slip’ does exactly what it says on the box.
• On the British albums chart, Daft Punk slams the UK No.1 spot with their new LP ‘Random Access Memories’. They knock Rod Stewart from the No.1 perch, with The National premiering at No.3 with ‘Trouble Will Find Me’. The new Texas LP ‘The Conversation’ debuts at No.4, with the latest from 30 Seconds To Mars (‘Love Lust Faith + Dreams’) landing at No.5. One more top ten debut comes courtesy of Demi Lovato’s LP ‘Demi’ (No.10).
• And just a quick reminder that as per our story earlier today, our weekly Chart Watch segment will now move to 7pm Saturdays to bring it in line with the new ARIA publishing time.

Oh my god oh my god oh my god… Love it Kylie. I love it… So not what I was expecting with the list of producers we’ve all read about but it feels right. If she had come out with a generic dance pop r&b song featuring pitbull/flo-rida blah blah everyone would’ve bagged her for it.. it reminds me of when she dropped Slow after the Fever era.. and can I just say.. love the art accompanying it. Single or not this has me so much more excited for the new album… Can’t wait!!

Either way, I love Skirt. Kylie truly is a goddess, you only have to listen to hear that.
