Sony Music has this morning delivered the third and final new track from Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Greatest Hits… Chapter One’ project to Aussie media.
‘People Like Us’ follows on from 2012’s ‘Catch My Breath’ and the Vince Gill duet ‘Don’t Rush’ and sees her dipping her toes back into mainstream pop territory after the more country stylings of ‘Don’t Rush’.
‘People Like Us’ also returns Kelly into the production arms of Mr Greg Kurstin, who was behind her smash hit ‘Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)’ and who’s previously worked with the likes of Rita Ora, Ke$ha, P!nk, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and our own Kylie.
It’s incredibly catchy, with a hands-in-the-air chorus that just begs to be heard. So will radio give it a crack? Time will tell.

**Anonymous don’t know whoose concert you were at but she’s certainly THE BEST I have seen for vocals and pure banter entertainment. Yeah it’s fantastic to see the likes of say P!nk and her amazing theatrical performances BUT Kelly is in a league of her own for her singing ability. She blows me away every time I see her. Here’s hoping People Like Us gets the airplay it so richly deserves.

Quite surprised by that – I think she is a rare one who consistently delivers quality vocal performance, live or recorded, with material that is undoubtedly pop but with genuine integrity and heart.

Some artists don’t need to put on a show though. Kelly lets her voice and the songs do all the work. Besides, what she may lack in dancing/putting on a show, she more than makes up with her banter between songs. That girl has an amazing personality ;)

I think Kelly is an incredible vocalist, however I believe her star is beginning to dim a bit. Have seen her live 3 times and she lacks the stage prescence of most live artists I have seen. And I’m a fan saying this.
