Frontier Touring Company has this morning revealed that country starlet Taylor Swift will tour Australia later this year becoming what they tell us is “the first solo female in 20 years to headline stadiums across Australia”.
The last female to undertake such huge shows was Madonna back in 1993 with ‘The Girlie Show’.
Taylor will play dates at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium, Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium and Perth’s NIB Stadium before wrapping up at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium. Adelaide misses out. These are the first overseas shows as part of her tour.
‘The Red Tour’ is set to blow audiences away with a show containing multi-level staging, costumes, dancers, aerialists and changing sets as she performs tracks from her latest album ‘Red’, along with songs from her previous albums.
Pre-sale tickets hit the sales desk from Tuesday next week, with general public tickets on sale on Tuesday May 21.
December 04 : Sydney (Allianz Stadium)
December 07 : Brisbane (Suncorp Stadium)
December 11 : Perth (NIB Stadium)
December 14 : Melbourne (Etihad Stadium)

Hey Anonymous #3,
We believe Adelaide Oval is still under construction, but there’s still AAMI Stadium in Adelaide – and Taylor’s shows are long after the end of the AFL season.

Is the Adelaide stadium still under construction? I wonder if that’s why Taylor is bypassing the city.
