It wasn’t just the winner of ‘The Voice’ being crowned last night, with the cream of Australia’s songwriting talent given credit at the 2013 APRA Music Awards.
Held at Melbourne’s Exhibition and Convention Centre, awards were handed out in 13 categories including Pop Work Of The Year – the award being presented to Timomatic for his breakout single ‘Set It Off’. Timomatic also picked up the award for the Most Played Australian Work with the same single.
Carly Rae Jepsen picked up the International Work Of The Year award for her megahit earworm ‘Call Me Maybe’ and Sia was crowned Songwriter Of The Year.
