Right, so for our cash, A*M*E’s debut single ‘Play The Game Boy’ was one of the most exciting tracks to happen to pop music for quite some time. Though that single remains criminally unreleased here in Australia, we have mercifully been privy to her guest vocals on Duke Dumont’s former UK No.1 smash ‘Need U (100%)’.
The A*M*E project is onto solo single No.2 over in Ol’ Blighty, however, and it’s another scrumptious slice of power pop that will further cement the young songstress as hands down one of the most intriguing pop finds of recent years.
It’s bright, fizzy pop with a bright fizzy clip, but gone are the quartet of male dancers from the previous video – replaced here by a quartet of female dancers who look like they’ve stolen their wardrobe from a box of Quality Street. Fancy an orange cream, anyone?
Brilliantly, local remixers JRMX have scored quite the coup, with their reworking of the track being hammered in the British clubs and on the wireless.
