It was back in April when the team from The Cat Empire announced their huge global tour, with Australian cities figuring prominently in their tour plans. A series of eleven concerts is already locked away in September this year, including double dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, in support of the release of their recently released album ‘Steal The Light’.
“In many ways this record is a return to our original aesthetic, a very simple thing; that the music is for dancing and feeling good. The record and the shows should make people smile, make people dance. That’s all we want,” vocalist Harry Angus said in a statement.
Today the band has announced the addition of five North Queensland dates to the run, with shows locked in for Rockhampton, Mackay and Magnetic Island along with a double date at the Tanks Arts Centre in Cairns.
