Yesterday turned out to be quite a big day for Australia’s Josh Pyke fans… Just over a week out from the release of his new album ‘The Beginning And The End Of Everything’ he announced a national tour – as well as dropping the official video for his single ‘Leeward Side’.
Now to be completely honest, we can’t get the image of a guitar boat sailing Sydney Harbour out of our mind when it comes to Josh Pyke videos, but there’s no sign of it here… there’s Josh diving into a strange translucent green light, crawling into a tunnel before his eyes turn into a kaleidoscope and a bunch of eight people link hands around what looks like an oversized Trivial Pursuit game. He runs on the spot, trees dance and then there’s the twist. The gob-smacking ‘Supernatural’-esque twist. Turns out Josh Pyke ISN’T Josh Pyke at all. He’s a… (well we’re not going to ruin the surprise for you!?)
