Look out, here comes trouble. Quite literally, as it happens, as ‘Trouble’ is the name of the forthcoming sophomore album for British pop starlet Natalia Kills.
Ms Kills first made contact with planet pop a couple of years back via her ‘Perfectionist’ debut and its collection of sharp pop singles including ‘Free’, ‘Kill My Boyfriend’ and ‘Mirrors’, but none made an impact here in Australia where the album was given a soft release.
Let’s hope things change this time around for the all-important second album campaign, which has just kicked off overseas with the lead single ‘Problem’.
It’s a lot more gritty and industrial in sound than Natalia’s previous releases, with plenty of grinding guitars, percussion and attitude-fuelled lyrics. i.e. Not really what we’d expect from a lead single from one of tomorrow’s brightest pop stars.
In the clip, she does everything within her power to prove that she is indeed a ‘Problem’, including wearing a barely-there outfit, fur, sliding her hand down her panties, smashing a car and writhing on the bonnet of a police car. Badass.
