Melbourne duo Pludo first landed on our radar back in October last year via their “confident debut” single ‘Frenemies’. They obviously did something right with said single, because it got them subsequently snapped up by the team at Sydney label ctrl-alt Records.
The band, consisting of founder Anthony Kupinic and former Sydney street drummer Alex Cooper, have strode along purposefully since, now revealing their latest drum-filled chapter – and fan favourite – ‘Haywire’.
“Every time we play it the crowd is totally engaged,” the band says. “We can’t wait for everyone to see the video we’ve just made. All the drumming sections we perform on the street with buckets are now on huge drums with water and powder in HD super slow motion…absolute eye candy!”
And, as if by magic, here IS that spectacular video (below).
The single hits digital retail on Friday – the same date the band launches the single via the first of four headline gigs;
June 14 : Brisbane (The HiFi)
June 29 : Sydney (The HiFi)
July 12 : Melbourne (The HiFi)
August 03 : Adelaide (Governor Hindmarsh)
