While the federal government might not value the contribution of community radio to the Aussie media landscape (recently announcing funding cuts to the tune of 1.4 million dollars), the local musicians who rely on the sector for valuable airplay certainly do.
So it stands to reason that a stellar line-up of talent is coming together to celebrate and say thanks to Sydney station FBi, who’ll celebrate their landmark tenth anniversary in August.
Headlining proceedings for the station’s birthday event on September 08 will be Aussie doyens of dance The Presets, joined by Hermitude, Urthboy, The Preatures, World’s End Press and around 30 other acts across four big stages. The over 18s show, to be held at Carriageworks, doubles as a fundraiser for the station.
Tickets are on sale now.
