It’s been a long time between drinks for Alex Lloyd.
His last album ‘Good In The Face Of A Stranger’, released via Inertia, dropped at retailers five long years ago, after which the singer songwriter packed his bags and Kangaroo routed it to London, where he’s been living and working on new material.
The first taste of that new material is out and about today in the form of lead single ‘Better The Less You Know’ and its accompanying video, filmed in both London and on the New South Wales Central Coast.
But there’s a new album to follow called ‘Urban Wilderness’ – and its for the release of this that the ‘big ask’ part of the story comes in.
Alex has set up a crowd funding campaign for the new LP via Pledgemusic, asking for fans’ help to raise the funds needed to complete the recording of the album by contributing financially. Naturally, there’s plenty of goodies on offer to tempt you. For example, $15 will get you a download copy of the album, updates on the project and PDF of the cover. $6000 will see Mister Lloyd performing live right there in your very own loungeroom.
Check out the other goodies on offer HERE, to read more about the new project and to see if you’d like to get involved.
