You’d think that with a No.2 single and sales of more than 140,000 copies, New Zealand starlet Lorde would be able to afford a more stylish cover image for her debut album ‘Pure Heroine’.
But no doubt what she’s saved on the costs of artwork, the 16 year old has ploughed into the musical content of the long player, which will be released in Australia on Friday September 27. The ten tracker will feature the highlight song ‘Tennis Court’ and the track that’s currently got her flying high in the charts, ‘Royals’.
To celebrate the album’s release, Lorde will be on our shores in mid-October for four live dates across the East Coast.
She’ll play in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Zierholz in Canberra, kicking off at The Zoo in Brisbane on Wednesday October 16 and organisers rightly predict that they’ll sell out in quick time. Oliver Tank has been announced as special guest and tickets for all are on sale this Monday.
