Australia has always been a happy stomping ground for the gents from US outfit MGMT. Along with our friends across the ditch, we were the first in the world to gift the band a top ten platinum-selling hit – their 2008 smash ‘Electric Feel’.
Though subsequent releases have been less successful, the band is undeterred, recently announcing the forthcoming release of their self-titled third long player (September 13 in Australia) and dropping the official video for their latest single ‘Your Life Is A Lie’ which has left us scratching our heads.
There’s a guy kicking the bucket (quite literally), singing skeletons, a new use for tomato sauce and mustard, a man in a blonde wig, a dolphin on the TV, a man eating a banana, a man in a bath… So pretty much two minutes of general nuttiness, really.
