It’s been a long time coming, but the boyband who first appeared as part of last year’s edition of ‘The X Factor’, What About Tonight, have finally lifted the lid on the official music video for their debut single ‘Time Of Our Lives’.
The chaps have been traversing the country in recent weeks, performing and signing at a host of in-store appearances where their fans have been snapping up copies of said debut single, keeping it well within the confines of the ARIA top 40 (it’s at No.26 this week).
For the clip, the chaps have jetted off to Phuket, where they’re certainly intent on having the time of their lives; in the back of a tuk tuk, on jet-skis, motorbikes, boats and, naturally in a go-go bar, thankfully avoiding any awry ping pong balls.
Makes us want to book a cheapy flight and head on over there.

The fact that WAT’s song charted higher than The Collective’s doesn’t mean that WAT are more talented than TC. It just shows that Sony Australia are shit and don’t promote TC well. Remember that TC’s single was ACCIDENTALLY released on the same day as Samatha Jade’s? That’s ridiculous. On the other hand, WAT hire an American manager who seems to know exactly how to promote a boyband.

Think Sony might have backed the wrong horse in this race? Young men, with real talent, and not afraid to perform live either, go get em boys! Hope you have the time of your lives.

Great article its good to see a Australian pop media site bating for the underdog you don’t see that these day everybody else is to busy trying to jump on bandwagon of the act that’s been signed to a major while all these talented hard working independent artists put in the hard yards trying to be noticed.
Well done guys

What auspOp said, plus they are all eighteen or over and can legally make decisions of how they appear in a video for themselves.

Hey Anonymous,
The one thing we’re impressed with regards What About Tonight is that they’re not signed to a record company, are completely independent and are putting in the hard yards in an effort to succeed. If you look at their chart time with this single as opposed to The Collective (who were from the same ‘X Factor’ and are signed to Sony), they’re romping it in. (tops off or not)
In to bat for the little guy.

I find that record companies want to exploit the looks of teenagers so that other young people will think their “hot”. The music buying public arn’t all under twenty years of age. Why do we need musicians with there tops off, cleavage pushed upwards & sexualised beyond their years.
