It’s all ‘go’ once someone’s won a talent competition. Firstly it was the announcement of the winner, followed shortly thereafter by the revealing of the official single cover and the single’s delivery to Aussie media and now it’s all about the album and this spectacular promotional show (below).
Dami’s single has just hit the iTunes store and we’re expecting it to be floating around the No.1 position by the time we awake in the morning. Sony tells us that the official video will be filmed in the week ahead and will premiere week commencing November 11.
But details have also surfaced tonight about the debut self-titled “journey” album, to be released next month.
The album contains eleven songs performed by Dami during her ‘X Factor’ journey, including the winner’s single ‘Alive’, the amazing ‘Purple Rain’ and her cover of Mariah’s ‘Hero’. All have been re-recorded in the studio.
Sony CEO Denis Handlin offered his congratulations to Dami on her win.
“Throughout the series, Dami has proven what an extremely talented performer she is and has been a consistently strong contender to win the series throughout the live shows. I am really excited that we will be releasing an album of Dami’s incredible X Factor journey in November for all her fans to enjoy,” he said in a statement.
Dami’s album will be released on Friday November 22.
