Andy and Vince from British electropop duo Erasure are celebrating the festive season this year by releasing their first ever Christmas album.
To be released midway through next month here in Australia, the new LP will feature a range of traditional Christmas favourites (including ‘Silent Night’, ‘The Christmas Song’ and ‘White Christmas’ and a collection of new original material. But don’t be expecting a mainstream LP. That’s not what the boys had in mind.
“I told Vince I wanted the music to sound like shards of ice or snowflakes falling,” said Andy in a statement, to which Vince replies, “It sounds quite odd, but always with us melody is at the heart of everything.”
You’ll get a bit more of an idea from the video preview (of ‘Silent Night’) below.
