20 years after she first burst onto the Aussie charts with her No.2 smash ‘Dreams’, it’s hard to believe that British soul/pop songstress Gabrielle has achieved only one other top 50 hit down under – 2001’s ‘Out Of Reach’, featured on the ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’ soundtrack.
No sign of the brilliant ‘Rise’ (a No.1 UK smash), nor her East 17 duet ‘If You Ever’ (a rework of Shai’s ‘If I Ever Fall in Love’).
But to celebrate the two decade anniversary of her breakout single ‘Dreams’, British producer Naughty Boy has given the single a little lick of paint, after Gabrielle appeared on a track on his recent album ‘Hotel Cabana’. Gabrielle herself has provided new vocals for the rework, which will feature on the recently-announced best-of, which will drop here next month. A new track ‘Say Goodbye’ will be released as the highlight single from the package soon.
