It’s been a little while since we last caught up with independent Swedish artist Jonas Oakland. His single ‘When The Music Dies’ hit our inbox within the first couple of weeks of 2013 and since then, it’s been a little quiet on the Oakland front. That is, until now.
His brand new single ‘What Happens On The Dancefloor’ has just hit digital retailers across the globe and once again delivers a high-energy dance-pop view into Jonas’ world.
“My idea was to create a more rough sound, like Ke$ha’s ‘Blow’ or Lady Gaga’s ‘Sheiße’, something I haven’t done before,” the singer said in a statement. “The song is about letting loose and not caring about the consequences. It’s like a free haven where everything goes and when all is back to normal you all have this pact that whatever happened out there, stays out there.”
And brilliantly, as with each of his previous releases, he’s kindly made the new single available to a global audience, meaning ‘What Happens On The Dancefloor’ is sitting in the iTunes store waiting for you now.
