We’re big fans of British outfit Keane. They’ve delivered some of our favourite pop songs over their decade-plus career, including the smashing ‘Everybody’s Changing’, ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ and ‘Spiralling’. Yes, Tim and the boys have a real ear for a cracking tune.
So there’s bound to be plenty of them on the boys’ upcoming greatest hits compile, due for release in the UK early next month (no mention of Aussie action yet, but surely…?).
One of the two new tunes lifted from the best of, ‘Higher Than The Sun’ is no exception… an incredibly addictive mid-tempo pop song with a clip that pays homage to the band’s back-catalogue, from the sinking of a ship called ‘The Iron Sea’ to the triangular shapes from the ‘Perfect Symmetry’ cover and a nod to their recent ‘Night Train’ EP.
More fantastic pop to keep us peachy… Keane.
