He may still be just 23 years of age, but age has been no barrier to Swedish DJ Avicii becoming a global superstar.
This year in particular, via his international smash hits ‘Wake Me Up’, ‘Hey Brother’ and ‘You Make Me’, Avicii’s star has crashed through the stratosphere, hitting No.1 here in Australia with ‘Wake Me Up’, No.2 thus far with ‘Hey Brother’ and No.4 previously with his Nicky Romero collaboration ‘I Could Be The One’.
So it’s with understandable excitement that the gang at Frontier Touring has this morning confirmed that Avicii will return to Australia early next year for a series of four live shows – one each in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth – bringing with him all the bells and whistles of his live show including 3D mapping, LEDs, projections and more.
“I’m so excited to be back in Australia for my first solo headline tour,” Avicii said in a statement. “The Australian crowd is amazing and I can’t wait for the shows.”
Tickets for each of the dates are on pre-sale from noon on Wednesday. General public tickets are on sale from noon local time on Friday November 08.
