We must have done something right the last time around, because Dolly Parton has announced she’s heading back down under early next year for another set of live tour dates.
Dolly visited Australia back in November 2011 for the first time in a staggering 30 plus years, but here she comes again, bringing the ‘Blue Smoke World Tour’ to local audiences.
“We have a lot of new and exciting things for the show and can’t wait to share it with you,” Dolly said in a statement. “I love my fans in that part of the world. You’ve been so very good to me for so many years and I know that we’re gonna have a wonderful time. It’s a long way from home in your part of the world, but I always feel like I’m right at home. So Australia, I’m coming home.”
She’ll kick things off with a show at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on February 11 and will play the five main centres in addition to a Hope Estate show in the Hunter Valley.
Tickets for all shows are on sale from 9am local time on Friday November 01, with a Live Nation pre-sale from Monday October 28.
