Is it any wonder why artists are clambering to get onto ‘The X Factor’. As of a couple of weeks ago, James Blunt’s single ‘Bonfire Heart’ was headed towards the top 100 precipice, never to be seen again. One ‘X Factor’ appearance later and voila… the single is at No.5 on the ARIA charts and has spent a fair whack of the past week in the No.1 position on the Aussie iTunes chart.
All augers well for the release of his new album ‘Moon Landing’ tomorrow.
Now there’s a tour announcement in the mix, with Frontier Touring this morning confirming that James will be back on our soil next year, with shows locked in for every state and territory in Australia. He’s also taking Queensland outfit Busby Marou along for the ride in the support role.
The tour kicks off at Sydney’s State Theatre on Friday May 30 before stopping off in Newcastle, then heading on to each of the state capitals; wrapping up in Perth on Friday June 13.
Frontier pre-sale kicks off on Wednesday from 2pm AEDT, with general public tickets ‘go’ from 9am local time on Monday October 28.
