As you’ll no doubt be aware by now, Channel [V]’s annual Oz Artist Of The Year award has returned for another big year, with a flurry of voting happening across the past few weeks for who’d be the wild card entry for this year’s competition. That honour this year goes to 5 Seconds Of Summer, who are currently on tour around Australia with the boys from One Direction.
But there’ll be plenty of competition, naturally, with a swag of big names making up this year’s top 50, including some of our favourite local popsters.
Jess Mauboy is in there; so too Samantha Jade, Empire Of The Sun, Havana Brown, Delta Goodrem, The Veronicas, Timomatic, Ricki-Lee, Reece Mastin, Guy Sebastian and Flume.
You have the chance to vote on who you think ought to snare this year’s Oz Artist Of The Year award by heading to www.vmusic.com.au.
The top four finalists will be revealed on Saturday November 24, with the ultimate winner being crowned on Saturday December 07.
