Take That frontman Gary Barlow has always held a bit of a non-too-secret desire to become the next Elton John… and on his new album ‘Since I Saw You Last’, released in the UK yesterday, he gets the chance to work with his idol on a brand new song called ‘Face To Face’. And boy, hasn’t the collaboration made Gaz look like the cat who got the cream (below).
We’re liking this track a whole lot more than the lead single ‘Let Me Go’, which premiered at No.3 on this week’s UK singles chart. It’s a bright, British, uptempo pop track and while we were doubtful that the boys’ voices would complement each other, they do… rather spectacularly.
The clip’s relatively simple… a studio-based piece, albeit at the legendary Abbey Road studios.
Though Gary’s album disappeared from the Aussie release schedule a little while ago, it’s back on a soft release (i.e. very selected retailers) from Friday December 06.
