Given she’s the undisputed Queen of country, we guess it’s only natural that Dolly Parton would want to perform a show in Australia’s home of country music – Tamworth – during the local leg of her ‘Blue Smoke’ world tour next month.
Live Nation has this morning confirmed that in addition to the already announced extra dates in both Melbourne and Brisbane, Dolly will hit the stage at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre on Sunday February 16.
She’ll dazzle audiences with tracks from her new album ‘Blue Smoke’ (out later this month), along with a hand-picked selection of gems from her back catalogue in a show that’s no doubt going to find a special place in Tamworth’s heart.
Live Nation pre-sale kicks off at midday on Wednesday, with general public tickets live from 9am this Friday, January 17.
