Papa vs Pretty are angry. Their label EMI is also angry. And it’s understandable when the very future of Australia’s iconic (and World Heritage Listed) Great Barrier Reef is at stake.
The band’s bassist Gus Gardiner from the band explains.
“We’re not usually a political band, but we do think it’s hugely important that everyone thinks about and engages with the issues that are important. We/YOU have until this Thursday to speak up against the dredging of toxic sludge into 3,000,000 cubic meters of sea bed in Great Barrier Reef! Help spread the word and sign this petition today!”
The band has also released this video (below) featuring some gorgeous imagery of the reef and what’s at stake in the hope of spreading the word.
