According to her US publicists, this is the last sliver of music we’ll be treated to in terms of singles from British singer Kate Nash’s latest album ‘Girl Talk’. And the video for ‘Sister’ is sure to get temperatures rising amongst her gay female followers, with the singer playing the part of one half of a complicated same-sex relationship. Lyrically, the song deals with the breakdown of a relationship brought about by interest from a third party and it’s clear that emotions are still raw.
The composition of the song itself follows suit, with a sweet, tender vocal giving way to an almost thrash-rock vibe, with Kate’s broken vocals only lending to the raw, emotive feel.
