The single hasn’t exactly set the digital sales charts alight as yet, but her team will no doubt be hoping that the official video for Kylie’s new track ‘Into The Blue’, which premiered half an hour ago, may just reverse its dwindling fortunes.
It’s a little black and white, a little colourful; A slither of ‘Finer Feelings’, a splash of ‘Spinning Around’ as Kylie (presumably) plays company for hire. There are some party shots, some black and white ‘Word Is Out’-esque street scenes and plenty of hair flicking.
Like the song, it’s a little generic and there’s nothing that screams “outstanding”. And that’s from us… mammoth KM fans.

I don’t think the song is generic at all. I love the video and I like that it has a little storyline. The hand-held camera is also giving me Word Is Out vibes, in a great way :)

She needs Channel 9 to use the song for a promo (similar to Tina Arena with Only Lonely), as radio won’t touch her as she is on the wrong side of the 4-0. The single isn’t strong enough to break the barrier (like Hung Up or Belive). As for the video, like everything about the single, its good, its Kylie, it just isn’t that compelling. Having said that the song is a grower.

I really hope that this single is the last nail in the coffin

Only after the last nail in yours.

Would be nice to see the song get some radio/chart love though, it’s not her best but it’s catchy and has flawless vocals. The radio seems to dislike Kylie over the past few years though, unfortunately.
