The ‘100% Hits’ series is back in 2014, with the first edition slated for release next month.
Warner Music is behind the new version, which is titled ‘Volume 1’, suggesting they’re doing away with the ‘Hits Of Autumn’/’Hits Of Spring’ titling. And it will contain just the 16 songs. But they’re trumpeting the release, announcing that half the tracklisting has spent time in the ARIA top 20.
Three of the songs (Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’, David Guetta & Skylar Grey’s ‘Shot Me Down’ and Rudimental & Emeli Sandé’s ‘Free’) are currently in the top ten, with Cash Cash’s ‘Take Me Home’ and Gabrielle Aplin’s ‘The Power Of Love’ presently holding top 20 positions.
Kylie Minogue, Lily Allen, Bruno Mars, Birdy and Flume are also featured on the new compilation, which will drop at both physical and digital retailers on Friday April 11.

If it’s called 100% Hits, why’s Into The Blue on there? I love the song but it can’t really be described as a hit!

Hey Anonymous,
‘100% Hits’ is now a Warner-only compilation. It used to be a Warner/EMI project, but EMI was swallowed up by Universal, leaving Warner to do these compiles virtually solo. Hence the lower number of tracks.
