When British musician Bright Light Bright Light goes about getting a guest vocalist on a new single, he clearly doesn’t piss about.
On the title track for his upcoming ‘I Wish We Were Leaving’ EP, he’s roped in the vocal talents of none other than Sir Elton John, who’s clearly been as impressed by Bright Light x2’s back catalogue of work as we have been.
Also known as Rod Thomas, his 2012 debut ‘Make Me Believe In Hope’ was a smashing record, recalling the heady days of ’90s dance. And while there’s plenty of ’90s pop sensibilities woven throughout ‘I Wish We Were Leaving’, it still feels very ‘now’. And his and Elton’s voices complement each other spectacularly.
The bright lights keep beckoning for this up and coming British star.
