You might remember last year that former UK ‘X Factor’ winner Matt Cardle teamed up with former Spice Girl Melanie C for a rather gorgeous duet called ‘Loving You’.
We described it at the time as a “totally decent, entirely listenable pop song” with the two singer’s powerhouse vocals complementing each other superbly. Matt even gets to showcase his impressive falsetto. Completely independently released, it premiered at No.14 on the UK singles chart; no mean feat.
While it might be a little while down the track, now Possum Records is ready to give the track the big push it deserves here in Australia, officially servicing it to media next week. Media interest in it is apparently already rather strong and it could be this track that sees Mister Cardle finally start to cut through in the local market.
A sensational piece of star-powered pop, ‘Loving You’ is released digitally in Australia on Friday May 09.

I’m glad to hear that he is a really nice guy. My apologies for my comment which was based more on interviews I had seen and probably not a true reflection of the man.
I think his talent is phenomenal which the rest of my comment certainly focused on, and I hope he is super successful here in Oz one day, as his season’s graduates have been.
Daniel Watson says
I’m very happy to hear that he’s lovely and I actually do apologise for my throwaway comment. It was more based on what I have read more than anything…
Talent-wise, I think he is phenomenal; a worthy winner of the show and would love to hear him live.

I agree with Aninymous, Matt is the best live vocalist I’ve ever heard, captivating audiences wherever he goes. Matt is also the nicest, most humble and genuine person I’ve ever met. I’d guess Daniel has never actually met him.

If you get the chance to catch him live at any time, do it, don’t miss out as he’s at his best then, have seen him numerous times and he never fails to deliver, and as for his personality, he is the nicest, politest, friendliest man you will meet, really not sure why Daniel doesn’t agree?!

Hey Scott,
Yes, it was released at the time, but has been whipped off our iTunes store in preparedness for its Aussie assault. Bizarrely, the video is still up.

It’s been available on our iTunes since it’s Uk release, so is it being “re-released?”.

After all, he is the winner of the single best season of X Factor anywhere! Who else can say they beat One Direction, Rebecca Ferguson and Cher Lloyd to win! Great voice, bit of a knob, but hope he does well!
For an amazing look at his talent, YouTube “Matt Cardle the first time ever I saw your face X factor” and you’ll be gobsmacked
