Paloma Faith’s ‘A Perfect Contradiction’ campaign continues today with the unveiling of the video for the second single ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’.
Lead single ‘Can’t Rely On You’ became Paloma’s second UK top ten hit and even spent (albeit limited) time in the lower reaches of the ARIA singles chart; her first chart action down under in five years.
‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’ is a gorgeous, slow-burning ’60s-esque soul/pop number which deals with that emotion of being so entirely consumed by the love of another human being that it hurts to be away from them. It seems Paloma’s in deep with her on-screen beau; those ‘in deep’ feelings evidenced by the utterly stunning under-water shots. Class act.
