Looks like we’re not going to have to wait too long for that new Lana Del Rey album to see the light of day, with confirmation overnight that ‘Ultraviolence’ is set for release in just four weeks time.
Comprising lead single ‘West Coast’ and 10 other new tunes, the album was produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and has been described by the songstress as “absolutely wonderful”, but “darker than the first album”. A deluxe edition, featuring three extra tracks, will also be released.
Though Lana landed top 40 spots with her debut single ‘Video Games’ and its follow-up ‘Born To Die’ here in Australia, it wasn’t until ‘Young & Beautiful’ and the Cedric Gervais remix of ‘Summertime Sadness’ that she really hit her chart straps down under, bulleting into the top ten with both.
‘Ultraviolence’ is due for release in Australia on Friday June 13.
