It’s been a few years since we saw them in Australia, but Live Nation has this morning confirmed that Swedish supergroup Roxette will joyride their way back to Australia early next year.
So successful was their 2011-2012 world tour that they’re doing it all over again and will bring their latest show down under in February for city-based shows, along with a duo of A Day On The Green events.
As always they’ll be rolling out their catalogue of hits including ‘The Look’, which celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this year, along with ‘Joyride’, ‘It Must Have Been Love’, ‘Dangerous’, ‘Listen To Your Heart’, ‘How Do You Do’ and more.
“We are beyond thrilled to head back to Australia, a stunning country with beautiful fans who have remained some of our most loyal supporters over the last 25 years,” Per Gessle said in a statement. “Marie, the band and I are ready and raring to go with a brand new show full of our best hits and a few surprises.”
They’ll be supported on all dates by Boom Crash Opera, with both Eurogliders and Dragon joining the festivities at the Day On The Green events.
Various pre-sales kick off on Monday, with general public tickets live from 9am on Tuesday May 27.
