Excitement is building ahead of the release of boyband 5 Seconds Of Summer’s debut self-titled album this Friday.
iTunes lit up with the boys’ album tracks ‘Amnesia’ and ‘Everything I Didn’t Say’ overnight, with the songs rocketing to Nos.1 and 2 respectively on the iTunes chart.
The album, too, is doing the business on the albums charts; the deluxe edition improving to No.3 ahead of its release on Friday (the standard is outside the top 100).
But in news through this morning, it appears that the good people of Melbourne are going to be the first in the country to get their hands on a physical copy, with JB Hifi confirming their Elizabeth Street store will throw open their doors at 6am this Friday to eager 5SOS fans.
Furthermore, anyone purchasing the album before 9am on Friday will go into the draw to win backstage passes to meet the band on their next Australian tour.
5 Seconds Of Summer’s album – in both physical and digital, standard and deluxe editions – will go on sale this Friday.

Why are 5 Seconds Of Summer pigeon holes as a boy band?
There clearly not! They playing instruments… Just because they supported One Direction on tour they share the same fan base.
