Iggy Azalea’s doing rather well for herself across the globe at the moment, but seemingly nowhere more so than in the United States, where this week she notches up an impressive fifth week in the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with her track ‘Fancy’.
She keep’s Ariana Grande’s earworm ‘Problem’ in the No.2 spot for a fifth consecutive week and it’s her featuring role on that track that sees her potentially about to claim a new chart record.
As of week No.5, Iggy is now equal with Ashanti as the longest running female with a No.1 AND No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In other news, her label Universal has given us a little visual hint today as to what the next single to be plucked from her album ‘The New Classic’ might be.
Given it’s a simple black image of a spider, we’re presuming it’s going to be her collaboration with UK songstress Rita Ora called ‘Black Widow’.
