Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O will release her debut solo album ‘Crush Songs’ in September.
The songstress revealed details of the new LP via her social media outlets overnight saying, “When I was 27 I crushed a lot. I wasn’t sure I’d ever fall in love again. These songs were written and recorded in private around this time. They are the soundtrack to what was an ever continuing love crusade. I hope they keep you company on yours.”
Recorded in 2006/2007, the album is reportedly an “intimate collection of lo-fi bedroom recordings” and pre-orders are expected to commence shortly.
Australians will be among the first in the world to get their hands on the new album; the team at Inertia today confirming that it’ll drop locally on Friday September 05.
