‘The Voice’ winner Anja Nissen will release her self-titled debut album next week.
The 18 year old starlet from New South Wales won the competition on Monday night, but the celebrations were short, with the singer reportedly whisked into the studio with Will.I.Am that very night to work on what presumably will be her debut single.
‘Anja Nissen’, however, is the singer’s “journey” album; a collection of studio recordings of her performances from the show itself, including her audition song, Mariah Carey’s ‘Vanishing’.
Universal Music’s local president, George Ash, welcomed Anja to the family in a statement.
“What a brilliant show this year for all the participants, but I would especially like to congratulate Anja on her incredible success, she was outstanding throughout the series. At the completion of the top eight tour, Anja will head to LA to commence work on original recordings and we couldn’t be more excited to showcase her to the world.”
She’ll no doubt be performing Mariah’s ‘Vanishing’, alongside many other of her performance choices, as part of ‘The Voice’ live tour, which kicks off on Sunday at Perth Arena.
‘Anja Nissen’ is released on Friday August 01.

Hey David,
That’s the tracklisting Universal Music sent to us this morning, so we’re going off the official line from them…

That track listing doesn’t look correct as it doesn’t include the single “My Girls” which was written by Delta Goodrem.
