Ricki-Lee’s new single is ‘Happy Ever After’.
Released to media this morning with a lovely new cover image (above), the track was featured on Ricki-Lee’s recent ‘All We Need Is Love’ EP and is a little more down-tempo than its predecessor.
According to the singer herself, the song holds very special meaning.
“‘Happy Ever After’ is without a doubt, my favourite song I’ve ever written,” Ricki-Lee said in a statement. “As a songwriter you are always chasing your tail to write a song that is laced with that little bit of magic that gets in peoples veins when they hear it. From the moment I heard the guitar riff I felt the magic. Once in a while you hear a really special song that you wish you wrote because it just makes you feel so much and everything just clicks, that is what every songwriter chases… and every once in a while… life gives us a fairytale!”
‘Happy Ever After’ is available now as part of the ‘All We Need Is Love’ EP.

Have to agree, I love Ricki and have supported her since Australian Idol. She has a magnificent work ethic, an incredible voice and a personality to match. BUT, her choices have always been wrong. Come and Get In Trouble With Me would have been amazing as an album track, but as a single it was a bad move. All We Need Is Love was a fantastic track, but felt somewhat generic and a little dated. But this, releasing a song that most fans already have? Its ridiculous. I can’t help but feel she could have had an amazing career (similar to that of Jess Mauboy’s) but her team keep making bad choices time and again. I think the after this single the next thing we will hear is that her label and her have parted ways. It’s sad.

and i wish she would release the Hear No, See No album, even just for the fans. Stick it on iTunes! We have wanted it for years and she has said numerous times it would see the light of day at some stage!!

What happened to releasing the next EP? This song came out 2 months ago and people would have bought it as part of the All We Need Is Love EP. Looks like Happy Ever After is going to be another flop single for Ricki-Lee :(

Ok, i love Ricki Lee, but her current choices are ridiculous. She really shot herself in the foot with Come and get in trouble with me and you could tell her team went into damage control with All We need is love and unfortunately i think the damage was done and it didn’t do anything for her. Now she is releasing a song thats already out there? This whole campaign makes no sense.
Surely she is on her last legs, in terms of record company support. Its funny how despite now being on a major label, you could argue that she had far better success when she was independent.
