The name ‘Latifa Tee’ might not mean much to pop-loving Australians, but her face may be slightly familiar, after the Sydney-based singer auditioned for last year’s series of ‘The X Factor’ as part of the group Straight Up.
They impressed the judges with their audition piece – The Jackson 5’s ‘I Want You Back’ – but failed to make it further than the home visit stage.
Clearly others were impressed by the performance of the female pocket rocket of the group, Latifa, who was subsequently signed to a management deal with same company who represents Redfoo.
Today marks another step into the solo sphere for Latifa, with her debut single ‘Games’ today making its way to Australian media.
It’s a track that’s already found a home on the airwaves of Southern California, with a number of high profile stations in Los Angeles giving the track a spin.
‘Games’ is a dark, bouncy, electronic blend of urban and pop; take a listen below.
