We love ourselves some Lights here at auspOp. Yes, it’s been three long years since her sophomore album ‘Siberia’, but the Canadian pop darling is back and on the verge of releasing her third album ‘Little Machines’.
The singer (real name Valerie Poxleitner) made the announcement via her social media channels a couple of days back, confirming the release of the new LP in late September. Lead track ‘Up We Go’ is already available when you pre-order the LP.
The singer first rose to prominence in Canada via her 2008 self-titled debut EP, but quickly found fame beyond its borders, with her debut album ‘The Listening’ becoming an instant favourite of those in the pop know. It also hit the top ten in her homeland.
‘Siberia’ fared even better on its release in 2011.
And though little information is available about Lights’ third album ‘Little Machines’ just at this stage, us Aussies look like we’ll be among the first in the world to be able to own it; it’s currently due to drop on Friday September 19.
